Monthly Luncheon In-Person – "Toastmasters: Eva Menon and Darlene Hayes" at Filomena's Restaurant in Waterford

Join Us Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 11:30 am for our monthly luncheon, $20 for members, $20 for non-members, includes gratuity and tax, for Ms. Eva Menon, President, Niantic Toastmasters and Network member Darlene Hayes out under the tent. Register online and pay cash only at Filomena's.

This presentation will be to help you craft a 30 second commercial that leaves people wanting more.  The format is story telling,  How can you tell your story in under 1 minute with passion and impact?
Each of you will leave with a better idea of what should be included, what makes an impact, and what is just hot air....
We know our members shine; we want to be sure they are communicating as best they can. Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. Headquartered in Englewood, Colo., the organization's membership exceeds 300,000 in more than 15,800 clubs in 149 countries. Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped people from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders.

Eva Menon is a nurse, mom, wife, grandmom and a business owner. My passion is health and wellness and women's  self esteem. The vehicle I use currently is Professional makeup and all Natural Skincare. I have been a Toastmaster since 2007 and  a professional speaker for the last 12 years.

Darlene Hayes holds a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and Masters Degree in Legal Studies. She retired from the Philadelphia Police Dept. after 20 years, and is now living in Southeastern CT. Darlene is currently an insurance agent at Hourglass Insurance.

We will be collecting wrapped Halloween candy and small toys at the October luncheon for the kids at Safe Futures. If you are so inclined, please bring these items to the luncheon. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Please register early online so we can have a head count, and pay cash only at Filomena's. This will help us all get back in the swing of dining out.
