Grief is a natural emotional response to significant loss yet very rarely are we prepared to feel all the feelings that accompany us on the journey into the wilderness of grief. It can often leave us feeling confused, overwhelmed, and alone. In today’s presentation we will help you understand the grief journey to support yourself as well as others as you learn to walk from the darkness into the light. Ann Irr Dagle is the co-founder and president of the Brian Dagle Foundation and Brian's Healing Hearts Center for Hope and Healing in Niantic. The Brian Dagle Foundation — anchored in hope and empowered to support, is dedicated to the healing of grieving adults as well as community education on mental health and suicide awareness. The foundation was created in 2014 as Ann and her family opted to transform their pain into purpose after the tragic loss of her son Brian to suicide in 2011. Also Joining Ann will be Allison Gamber - Executive Director, The Cove Center for Grieving Children. Together with the Cove Center for Grieving Children, Ann hopes to give the audience a better understanding of grief and loss.
